Help Us Support House of Ruth Maryland!
An easy way to help!
In celebration of our 105th anniversary, we are proud to host our 5th Annual "Clean Your Closet for a Cause" event. We invite you to donate new or like-new women’s and children’s clothing, outerwear, and accessories to benefit survivors of intimate partner violence. Your contributions provide critical resources—including safe housing, legal services, and counseling—for the families served by House of Ruth Maryland. As a thank you for your continued support over the last century, all donors will receive a $19.21 voucher to be used during February 2026 (limit one per household; restrictions apply). Whether you visit us in person at our stores or contribute via your scheduled route, your "Donation with a Passion" turns everyday items into life-changing support for our community.
How to Participate
If you are on a ROUTE….
Collection week for Routes: January 19-23
- Please add your donations to your scheduled pickup or delivery during the week of 1/19/2026, as we’re not able to make standalone donation stops.
- Donations must be in a plastic bag or box, clearly labeled on the outside for House of Ruth.
- Maximum 5 donation bags/boxes per service day during the week of 1/19/2026.
- Receipts are available through the House of Ruth’s QR code below.

If you like visiting us in person….
Collection week for stores: Full month
- Donations can be dropped off at either of our stores during normal business hours.
- All donations must be in a plastic bag or box, clearly labeled for House of Ruth.
- Receipts are available through the House of Ruth’s QR code below.

How to Participate
Drop-Off
Visit either of our store locations during normal business hours.
On a Route?
If you are already on a scheduled service route, we will collect your donations directly.
Packaging
Please ensure all items are freshly cleaned and placed in a plastic bag or box clearly labeled "House of Ruth."
Tax Receipts
Simply scan the QR code available at our drop-off points to receive your official donation receipt.
